I don't like to admit I had a frustrating month.  My husband was happy it is now October.  I was in and out of the hospital for the first whole week, and I am looking forward to getting the PICC line removed this week.  It's an at-home IV stuck deep up into your arm and shoulder to allow you to plug in an IV drip without any additional needles.  I am glad to have had it.  It was the only reason they would cut me loose from the hospital.  But after a few weeks, I now feel more like a science experiment than a person.  I am ready to pull it out and get on with my life.  I am delighted to return to my small audience.

All Hail, the man with a plan.

There is a Naval Officer who suggested starting your day by making your bed.

As McRaven said in his speech to grads: “If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task, and another, and another.

I just had to mess with the plan.  My morning routine also gives me some me-time before I have to share my space with anyone else.  Although, I feel more like Steve Carell as leader of the Space Force than a competent Naval Officer. No offense to space force.  Besides, unlike Carells' character, I can't get up and make my bed. My husband and dog are still sleeping in it.

I am back closer to my routine of working early and taking care of the building.  I am looking forward to getting some side job from home, so I have some cash flow and don't turn into a dog-walking machine.
