Rocket to Orbit inches at a Time. This is the Way

Two weeks ago I was worried that I was not sticking my nose to the grindstone.  And then on Friday of last week I had the best insight watching a recent video of the nerd equivalent of paint drying.  The stacking of a SpaceX rocket to its booster.  I had it on in the background while I was chatting with visitors.  I was telling them about my frustrations not making progress with my various projects and system updates.  When it struck me that the rocket had not moved off its place on the ground in the last hour, and suddenly it was being hoisted up in the air many stories off the ground.  Even that was a short trip because it will be weeks before it is ready to launch into orbit.

In the best tradition of the Mandalorian, "This is the way".

As I was relating my personal story it was being played out on tv.  The rocket took an hour of prep work to be ready to move up off the ground to spend another hour being lowered an inch at a time onto it's locking ring at the top of the booster.  Seeing what I was talking about being played out in this way the 1% incremental journey of the SpaceX rocket is exactly the journey I am on moving inches at a time on my journey to orbit.  In the best tradition of the Mandalorian, "This is the way".
